interestingly, as of today, now 2409 is in the 7.0.1 folder at slimpys

but NOT in 7.1 or 7.2 folders.
but, it would seem that for today anyway, the newest nightly is in
agreement with 7.0.1, (as opposed to yesterday, when it wasn't)

Depends on the OS, searching for jive*.bin should find you the
directory.
As I use a custom location on linux I'm not much of a help here.

I use Linux and just used the find command to locate them. Under Windows, a

so in your opinion, he should downgrade just to have supposed agreement

and you think this will solve his problems?
i disagree with the first idea as necessary or even smart to do, and i

I'm a bit confused about firmware versions for 7.1
The 5/1 build directory contains r2414 but when I look in cache I see
r2291, which is also in

If I move r2414 (jive.version and jive_7.1_r2414.bin) into cache, the

at the risk of causing upset, in this case, you are. SC, SqueezeOS,
player firmware are all part of a live system.
i'm not upset... but follow my logic here for a moment...
i understood everything you just said already. but the jive firmware
would be NEWER than what the SC7 version he's running is.
i assume that there is reasonably backwards compatibility especially
when the newer FW is only very
interesting question...
jive 2409 is now listed on the nightlies page...
what version of SC is anyone supposed to use with it?
on slimpys link, none do.
so why is 2409 there? if agreement is necessary, what does it agree
with?

I want to reiterate.
I never had a chance to even try r2287.

I'd still like to know what to do.

the problem here is timing, there've been bugs and changes to the

during setup it got 2287 somehow, but since then nothing.
I have r2409 now which is in the nightly dir for 7.0.1 19294 (uppdated

I have had r2354 working

I am having this problem also. For a while my SBC was telling me every day

a day or two ago it wanted me to update to r2287 and i didn't do it at
