Standard skin. Cleared cache. - Same Uninstalled - rebooted - re-installed Same problem. BUT If I open Firefox then type: http://localhost:9000 in the address bar then all is OK - for that session. That must give someone a clue ? -- Mark Howard

Were you running a different skin by chance? Just wondering if you had been running a skin that might not work with the new version. Thats probably not right. hmmm have you ran the install again, that might help now that you've fixed the url problem. Throwing out ideas. :) -- Nonreality *-I

OK. Thanks, that reference didn't fix the problem directly but gave me a clue. My computer didn't know how to open a .URL file (which SqueezeCenter was calling. In Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>File Types I located the URL file type and saw that it was (somehow) set to open with Wordpad. I change

The fact that an html file opens in Firefox doesn't prove it's set as the default browser, rather, the fact that SC opens in Opera pretty much proves Opera is - regardless of what the FF control panel says. File associations are different from URL handlers. Take a look at this: http://windowsitp

Opera used to be my default browser but I switched to Firefox a year ago. Ever since I installed Slimserver (and also after upgrading to SqueezeCenter 2 days ago) whenever I open SlimServer/SqueezeCenter from the system tray, it opens in Opera instead of Firefox. I have checked that firefox is def
