Cool. Didn't know that about Foobar. I'll check it out. Thanks.

From the above web page: MP3FS is a read-only FUSE filesystem which
transcodes audio formats (currently FLAC) to MP3 on the fly when opened
and read. This was written to enable me to use my FLAC collection with
software and/or hardware which only understands MP3.

Off topic, but is anybody doing this with a product other than Anapod
Explorer? I like the product, but I can't get artwork to transfer, and
they haven't been very good about answering any of my support requests.
Using Anapod you can point to the same file structure that Slim server
points to,

Running a script nightly is automated to me.

That's pretty much your only option. SlimServer can't be told to
automatically ignore the mp3 version in favor of the flac version. If
it sees both, then
I don't have SC looking at itunes so I should be fine doing that,
cheers.

I reverted to 6.5.0 (completely removed 6.5.1 first) and had to leave

I have the same problem with SlimServer 6.5.1. Try going back to 6.5.0.
That solved the problem for me.

I needed a way to keep my FLAC and MP3 libraries in synch so I wrote a
quick and dirty application to do this. I'm not Perl fluent so it was
quicker for me to go this route, believe it or not. It reads the
Ogg-vorbis comments out of the FLAC file, decodes the FLAC file back to
WAV and them

If you're happy running perl scripts (no GUI I'm afraid) you might like
to try flac2mp3:
