Looking at the spec sheets, if you mean moved on to lower power, higher
distortion and worse SNR you are right !
Also those inductors on the SMSL look very small and they're using only
the PCB as a heatsink.

As long as you don't push them beyond their power capability, the
TPA3118D2's are pretty good sound quality-wise.

No, thats not really what I was saying. I was referring to that fact
that the smaller amps listed appeared to be more about loudness than
quality. I like the small form factor but do not want to give up a lot

I have something similar - Topping TP21 driving some Wharfedale Modus
Cubes. Surprisingly good sound. The Topping is very well constructed.

Hi folks.
I have a squeezebox classic that was connected to my yamaha mini stereo
system. The amp went and I am now looking for a replacement. I only
used the input from the squeezebox and not anything else so I do not
require anything other than inputs for the squeezebox. I would like to
