i just noticed a problem with sc 7.0.1 and how it organizes categories
of music.
in the past, i've always been able to pick a music category,
i.e.-genre, then step into genre-blues-then step in and select all
albums of that genre.
but currently, if i do that, i get ALL albums, i.e.-my entire
I'm not seeing the behaviour you mention, although I have a faint memory
of a bug discussion on this topic (but I can't find it just now).
What version, exactly, are you running?
Look on the Settings - Status page, for example mine says
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 17379 - Debian - EN - utf8
I'm guessing that this has been addressed somewhere in these forums but
at the moment i can't find a thread that deals with this issue.

As an interim measure, you might want to be sure to deselect the
setting Filter genres at the album track level
