I think that this is because of the way iTunes saves the playlist info in the library file. The 'folder' is itself a playlist and saved independently of its contents. TBH we are lucky it works this well at all! One probably could do some sort of tidy-up based on the names, but as I recall the folder hierarchy of file-system playlists is not preserved either (?) so this wouldn't be consistent/and or would have to have it's own interface James -------------------------------------------------------- NOTICE: If received in error, please destroy and notify sender.
