The guy was just making a point -- I don't think he was attempting to be mathematically precise. I think it is generally accepted that the number of non-computer technical people is significantly larger than the number of technical people. I'm pretty sure that was all he was trying to say.

I think there is a difference between people making suggestions and people hovering over you while you work. I create and support a lot of software tools in my current job. I value suggestions, even ones which are clearly unrealistic or not thought out, because it shows me how users view the tools

To me the other possible target audience is someone who has a very large CD collection. The main reason I began ripping my music in the first place was the inconvenience of having to deal with shuffling CDs. Since I am computer savvy, ripping was the obvious solution for me, and then later I found
