Squeezelite over Squeezeplay on grounds of audio quality. Any substance

Squeezelite is a software player.
Jivelite is the controller software and GUI.
Squeezeplay is the two above combined.

SqueezePlay works well and seems to do most of what I need. It doesn't
seem to work well if the PC is in tablet mode, but in normal

Yep, SqueezePlay works well for me. I use it on my Surface 4 (comes
with Win10).
The interface is not what you'd call comparable to Android or iOs tools,
and essentially replicates the Controller. But it works well on Win 10,
supports touch screen functionality.
