I upgraded to SlimServer_v6.1b2 last night and also did an apt-get
dist-upgrade of my debian server which upgraded perl. I am now
receiving the following message:

Someone probably ought to mention replaygain here. Rather than
permanently altering your files, you store meta data inside them to say
how much the volume should be altered by when they are played back on
compatible players. That way you can chose to play them with their
volume as is or altered
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the offer. I'll probably be taking you up on that when I get

but you do recall correctly, I am trying to use TAPI, so switchboard
doesn't seem to recognise it. I also can't see how you configure the

Glad you like it! Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to have such a
great folk radio station local on the airwaves. My (now) wife turned
me on to them five or six years ago when we lived down in Boston,
Well, as much as I *wanted* to believe it was the filename extensions
and some case sensetivity type issue - it aint. Within the filesystem,
they are .mp3 and within iTunes they are the same.
I'm going to try making some updates to the ID3 tags to see if this
forces the files to be picked up

Please confirm that 6.1b2-3660 is the July 13 nightly. If so here's the
issues;
- ignore songs unchecked in iTunes is working but in reverse
- artists with with special characters in their name are listed along
with the album name, but the songs don't appear. Then after opening

I think you have the beta 2 version which was created last Friday and
hence does not have kdf's most recent changes.

The easiest solution would be to get rid of the file c:\Program

your old SB1 that you want to preserve, you may have to manually edit
the file. If not, just remove the file and restart SlimServer.

Hello All:
I am trying to find an easy way for my wife to configure playlists for
our Squeezebox. She currently uses the browser interface and has all
kind of issues with it. Ideally I would love to use iTunes, but a
similar editor would work fine too. Here are our setup details:
