Someone probably ought to mention replaygain here. Rather than permanently altering your files, you store meta data inside them to say how much the volume should be altered by when they are played back on compatible players. That way you can chose to play them with their volume as is or altered

I deleted all copies of SlimServer and started over. Loaded July 11 b2 and managed to re-establish iTunes option and library link. Still doesn't ignore unchecked songs and special character issues remain. Now installing July 13 nightly as you requested. -- oiler1fan

The easiest solution would be to get rid of the file c:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\slimserver.pref. If you have preferences for your old SB1 that you want to preserve, you may have to manually edit the file. If not, just remove the file and restart SlimServer.
