I've now been running SBS since 2004. There were some initial problems setting

My only hope is that when Logitech discontinues the line of WiFi Players
that they leave us with a decent version of the software.
Right now the software is a mess. Too few developers, and as far as I
can tell, no testers other than the user community. I'm surprised they
don't just release it
Am I the only one that is annoyed by the Squeezebox Sirius Internet App?
Are others having problems with the Radio and Touch rebooting while
playing a Sirius channel? I finally submitted a Bug request because I
couldn't find anything similar already submitted.
I've seen the reboot issue in 7.5.2
First, they've already left us with several decent versions of the
software. If you're worried, go to downloads.slimdevices.com now and
download all the versions you may ever want. And go over to
update.slimdevices.com to pick up all the firmware as well.
Second, the server is already open
Well I wouldn't bother downloading 7.5.3 because it has a nasty bug that
causes the server to hang. So much for QA.
The problem is I see Logitech as reducing it's WiFi audio resources not
growing or even maintaining them. I think they need to take a step back
and cleanup the code base before
To be fair this is a contracting market especially with the direction
Apple have mapped out for us with iCloud. Smart phones can do most of
what the various Squeeze products can do so where is the demand? When I

It's funny, everyone is in love with their smartphone, but the reality
is it's not a great music player. Logitech has a niche market and they
really need to focus on it.
Radio - Do people use smartphones as alarms? I would much rather spend
$100 on the Radio, than $20 for a crappy clock radio.
I do know that one cannot blindly assume complaints and reports of
problems are solid indications of overall product quality. I have
seldom (OK, never) taken keyboard in hand to post a Wow, it's
awesome! report in a support forum unless it was in response to
someone evaluating that product with

They'd get a better network graph of people than Facebook right now

For networking use switches avoid wifi and use ethernet wire when
physically possible= the objekts you want to connect are stationary
ie not moving around like a controller or a phone or a pad etc.

I'm torn here. There's so many ways to get your music from anywhere to
anywhere, unlike when I purchased my (still-running) SB2 nearly six
years ago, when it was one of the few options. There's still a lot of
players and for most users the simplest solution will win. That's
probably AirPlay if

It works both wirelessly or on wired ethernet. If you can connect it
over wire it can be a lot more reliable. Many people have very few
problems with wireless, but
dont forget the server
it usually works ok with wifi. I had all players on wifi for 3 years at
least
And when the squeezeboxes multiply as they do... You get a more complex
setup with multiple squeezeboxes.
In my current case server is wired to the network many players are also
wired some
