well i would disagree because the current logitech app is crap compared
to ipeng, and youd have to switch between apps, but thats just my
opinion.

Best guess is the eBay SB3 is still registered on MySB.com to it's
previous owner's MySB account.
If so, it must be deleted from that owners MySB account before you can
register it on your MySB account.
Two options to get that player deleted:
1. contact previous owner, he can delete player

A remote controll app can only emulate ir comands so it will be like
using the Touch/SB3 ir controll , never seen an device that is both ir
and can contact the server for a good squeezebox interface .
I use iTach modules with the iRule app for all rs232 and ir duties,
there is no problem
I use iPeng on my iPod Touch. iPeng is a brilliant remote. I like it
that much Im tempted to buy an iPad. Also love Apples iDevices
great looks and works perfect.

contact with your wifi and its getting data from it, since it can send
info about tv shows to the ipad, witch it certainly couldnt get from

Sorry for digging up an old thread but I'm thinking about getting an
Acer Aspire Revo 3700, the successor to the 3600 mentioned earlier
here, and as a bit of a newbie I've a few questions I hope someone

First a bit of an introduction. I started with a SB3 and a QNAP

usual without the remote? I brought my SB3 from home to my apartment in
Portugal where I am working, but forgot to pack the remote.

Interesting, though it seems like a bit of a throwback given the

Ok om sorry, i should have been more specific. I play All my music from
my local library, latest vortexbox with SBS 7.2.1. But, iirc ive had
tuis problemen since begier this verdook of SBS and Ipeng. When i have
an empty playlist, and i choose and album, it lists All the songs in
that album, and
i didnt mean any disrespect, as i think ipeng is the best sb remote
solution there is, i guess i shouldve said ''technically possible''

Interesting. Could you please check whether you are in add next mode
(|| in the header bar). In the normal Add mode it wouldn't be
expected to start playing at all and actually I believe that's indeed
an error in iPeng. This should only be an issue if your playlist is
empty, right?

I do agree that integration would be nice and technically possible.
Yet I don't believe Logitech would do that work.
It wouldn't get them one single Harmony Links sold extra.
People either only have Squeezeboxes: then they'd use the free Logi App
for Squeezeboxes or SqueezePad or iPeng. No
