h. odd problem. My gapless mp3 (encoded with various LAME versions) all work as expected in all my players (including TOUCH and radio). I have lots of live concert mp3 albums that are very clearly gapless. Other than the crossfade that was mentioned, I'm out of ideas on the possible cause.

I don't think KidsPlay will help. KidsPlay provides a means for reprogramming the six preset buttons, but I'm fairly certain there isn't anything for preventing changing the other settings that the Radio has on its menus. I think the only parental control available is the old fashioned POS

Logitech seems to have no problem with having a lot of different products, look at thier mouse keyboard and computer speakers. They seems to have problem with products like squeezeboxes, who is more involved and takes longtime support . 1000's of fit and forget stuff with a very short shelf
