SqueezeCommander doesn't seem to bring my LMS out of standby when I'm on
the mobile network, while another wake on lan app on the phone always

port does SqueezeCommander use to send the magic packet? Port 9 would be

I don't know, but does WoL use UDP? I think I remember something about a
bug in some Android versions that cripples the Android equivalent of
Net::UDAP. Could the same bug affect WoL too?
For WOL over internet you have to send the packet to a specific port on
your router, this needs to be configurable in the client, don't know
whether SC supports this.
If WOL works fine within the WiFi network, it's not a UDP problem.
What is missing from your Squeezebox experience ?
The ability to pop to the shops and buy one. There's none to be seen in
the high street any more here in the UK, unlike Sonos, AirPlay, Philips
Stremium, Naim etc. These are everywhere from department stores to hifi
shops. It's really quite sad

I haven't read through this entire thread, but here are things that are
missing from my Squeezebox experience:
1. Ability to embed lyrics into a song file. Using the Song Lyrics
plugin, I can see the lyrics on my computer browser or through iPeng.
