Yes.
The main problem with many mpeg4 formatted podcast is that the file
format is set up for downloading and not for streaming.
Jumping in here, because I lost my Squeezebox in a breakup, so have been
playing with UPnP a bit (it seems I'd have to spend $500 on a Squeezebox

features I don't really need)
Anyway, I've been pretty impressed by how many

the IP Address is not static or constantly changes after a reboot or

Can't you just run a local LMS on a computer ?

I posted a few weeks ago onto a different thread. I'm only producing an

Instead of talking directly to the database, I got the album list from

I find two real obstacles in using LMS: searching and streaming.
1) Searching in LMS is primitive. Maybe this is not so much a problem
for listeners to other music types, but it is a problem for me since I

2) Many streaming sources do not allow or provide a URL that can be

locally using Nicecast, and point LMS to the Nicecast stream.

Could you give some examples of what streams you are talking about ?

SoundCloud plays through HTML 5 on the web site.
It's one of these examples that work from iPeng but it's difficult.
Soundcloud links expire after a few seconds so you can't re-play them
and if you pause them, they are gone.
You'd need native support for SoundCloud's API to do any better than
