Agree,
would be too bad to drop a system that could become a standard for
multimedia streaming

It might be easier to use squeeze play in conjunction with squeezelite
or squeezeslave or similar.
The one instance of squeeze play can be used to control itself or
squeezelite.
There's a local player plug in for LMS if this pc is your server which
will install squeezelite for you.

I know about the squeezelite options - I have 2 instances running.
That's why I want 2 separate squeezeplays - one to control squeezelite
1, the other squeezelite 2.
If there's only one squeezeplay it always restarts with the last player
used - I want it to start with a specific player

Could you not:
- switch to a player
- take a copy of SlimDiscovery.lua for the player
- write some sort of batch/command to overwrite the
Hi,
at first I thought that my amplifier or my boxes were defect, but after
exchanging every component except the Squeezebox itself, I came to the
conclusion that the problem is in fact the Classic itself. The right
channel has almost no volume anymore compared to the left channel which
works
I've heard of output coupling capacitors failing on SB3/classics. I'll
try to link you to related thread:

That's exactly what I was looking for. Exchanged C16 and C20 five
minutes ago and now the Classic is playing again like new.
Thank you so much!!!

Three questions about it though:
1. Does it support full-speed async USB DACs without a hub, or is it
another one of these devices that does?
2. Does is support MOG when you're running a local LMS installation, or
is that one of the services that is blocked?
3. Has

I think I've answered question 2 myself. I just tried the SqueezeLite

That's a real shame as I like to use MOG to listen to albums before
buying them.
odd. I can play MOG on

Did you install an mp3 codec?
So I re-booted everything, but to no effect. This SB3 will still not
respond to any IR remote, all the other boxen are fine :-(

Yes you can always downgrade back to SB software

Be careful:
1. The BBC implementation on UESmartRadio.com is the same as on
MySquezebox.com, it is NOT the extended one you get with the iPlayer
plugin or applet, most notably there are no listen again features
2. You can NOT always downgrade, you can only downgrade as long as you

Has this app been abandoned by Flatterman? I guess now that Squeezeboxes
aren't going to be produced any more, not a lot of people will be buying
the app. It's still a fantastic app, though. Apart from compatibility

As it looks now, we would probably not need any donations, at least not
in the beginning, the big need is going to be to get people to help
updating the content.
If there isn't enough
Yes the VAMP does play MOG. It can play SiriusXM, Pandora, and Spotify
as well. You need a VortexBox to get XM to work (It's a wma stream).

Great. I'll find out in a few days. Went for the PogoPlug and HA-info
U2 to start with, since my DAC can only handle 48kHz over its USB
connection even though it's a 96kHz DAC. Then I can look at a better
SPDIF interface or a different USB DAC in future.
Does this box suffer the async
Also, have you read epoch1970's observations on kernel tweaking and
synchronisation performance a few posts about? If there are good
settings to get a reliable synchronisation setup as standard then it
might be nice to build these into the build image.

It certainly looks like it.
Apart from compatibility with future phones and Android versions,
there's perhaps not really need for development on it.
I agree. I have it on a 10 tablet on a shelf as my SB controller and
artwork viewer
