C'mon Logitech, how about one last hurrah? Build your own version of
this with an onboard SB receiver!

Out of curiosity, who has LMS 7.8? Looks like the latest available on

Lots of people do. It's beta, available at the usual place:

Just got the update and all is beautiful in the land Squeezbox players;

Depends what you mean by official, but see this thread (and the thread
links therein) for info on an upcoming official community release of
7.8.0:
Does anyone have the release numbers of the new firmware with the
Rhapsody/Napster fix? Touch and Radio?

I believe the radio is 7.7.3_r16676
The touch, depending on whether you use LMS 7.7.x or LMS 7.8 (which I
believe is not officially released), would be either 7.7.3_r16676

The link that Michael posted in post #55 is now a dead-end, but it looks
as if the new firmware has been put up on the main site:
Thanks, not sure about the release numbers but when I powered my Radio
back up it said a new version was available and presto all is good.

My players haven't updated yet. Interesting, thought, that while I am
running LMS 7.8 on a Mac, the information for my Radio shows Firmware:
7.7.2-r9663.

Have you tried prompting it to update the firmware? I think it's under
Settings Advanced Software Update.

I had tried that without success. But a restart of LMS did the trick,
and now all the players are updated. It's nice to have this sorted out!
i see there is a new version of the stable to download. in fact i
noticed because my SB Touch just demanded i download a new SW version, i
could not click out of it, but it was still 7.7.3 (which i already had,
i suppose it wanted new FW).
in any case, i see no documentation on what's new
Is LMS reporting itself as 7.7.4, or is it only new firmware (r16676)?
If the latter, then it may be the new firmware to fix issues with
Rhapsody/Napster (see
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?100830-Rhapsody-crashing-Squeezeplay-devices/page9).
If the former, got me boss.
This is what I have been looking for an audiophile Squeezebox solution.
From what I have gathered so far I would need to source the Wandboard,
power supply, and case myself and I would purchase the CSP2 and case
ends from the Community Squeeze. Is that correct and is the case listed
on the
AUTOMATIC COLOR SCHEME SELECTION
With Version 7.0.3 of iPeng 7 (now on the App Store) you can now
automatically select the color scheme based on the ambient lighting
conditions. This is also the new default setting.
With this feature, you will no longer have a glowing bright screen when
using

I just upgraded 4 SB Radios (1 UE)to the new r16676 firmware without too
much hassle. I'll report back if I notice any difference. I'm running
7.7.3 on my Win7 server.

I gave each of my kids as Squeezebox controller and they use it as a
Squeezebox player (via the beta playback function). Is there a
firmware-fix for Rhapsody/Napster for these devices as well? I use lms
7.8 (some nightly version) on a nas (Wd mybook live).
