I've used and trusted RS Components here in the UK both for many, many
years.
Their own brand product Number 726-2836 is a professional grade 5V 4.0A
supply at quite a reasonable price.
Not sure it has the right connector for the SB3 though ("2.1 x 5.5 x 9.5
mm Centre Positive")?
And a 3 year war
I've used the Topping VX2 as a USB DAC/AMP for PiCore in the past. It
has additional switchable optical and RCA inputs.
I used it to enhance TV sound and to listen to LMS Music and Radio.
I now use HDMI/Jivelite from the PiCore and a single optical TV output
to the Topping and external TV Speake

Most of the Toppings I know of are Class T using the Tripath 2020 or
2024 "chips"
The TP-30 uses TA2024 and the TP-60 the TA2020

Ended up buying this off Amazon FX Audio D802C 80WPC Pure Digital
Amplifier
It seemed to have good THD, lots of inputs and didn't look bad
I found this article comparing it with two other makes but it just added
to my general confusion

Class T amplifier technology, so named because it comes from a company
named Tripath. It's a trademark, not a recognized amplifier class; it's
Personally Id opt for a Class D amp.
I have a couple of such amps from Topping that I use in the office etc.
Build quality is good.

They are so small you can buy the bare amp boards and mount them on the
back of a speaker (or indeed inside) for an "active speaker
conversion"..

I'm using the following in my office: Amptastic mini-T amplifier with a
pair of small bookshelf speakers. I'm using an old Raspberry Pi with a
HiFiBerry Dac. LMS running on a WiFi enabled WD MyPassport drive. This
is fine for my purposes (I don't really run it at high volume!)

Tbh they mostly sound very similar. The cheaper ones used to have pretty
poor analogue volume controls but now that's all digital frankly they
are as interchangeable as DACs. For the money (i.e. not a lot), pick the
one that has the features you need and looks nicest..

I recently bought a SMSL Q5 Pro and am really happy with it. Digital and
analog inputs, IR, sub out. Works with harmony. At about $120 it is more
expensive than a Lepai, for me it is worth it.

It will need two more short cat5 cables if using a POE injector one more
if you have a POE switch.
The only thing you'll
I am planning to buy a small T Class amp to go with a pair of Sinclair
40iX bookshelf speakers for my office. I see there is a multitude of
these amps on EBay but I have no idea what is good and what is garbage.
I will be using this with a Squeezebox(either a Touch or Classic) for my
office. Digit

This looks interesting. So using this setup, the power is supplied to
the SB3 through the ethernet cable? No fussing with splicing wires or
plugs? Thanks.
