Re: [slim] downloading files from LMS

Cool,

No worries, it can be difficult to respond to all the requests for
further info and ideas for troubleshooting when receiving help on
forums, of course it's a good thing that many want to help out, the
ongoing community support here is great.

Glad you are sorted

Man, I was working on it, posting screenshots. You replied in the middle
of the first and second message I was sending.

Anyway I deleted the first one because I figured out what is wrong.
Initially it seemed to me as if the paths were exactly the same. Only
after I uploaded the images I noticed the difference.

24458

Naturally I feel very stupid that I didn't see it. I have a folder
"Albums" inside the folder "albums".
There is nothing wrong with the file system. From the difference in file
length you can see the corrupt file and the proper file. I must have
made an error when rsyncing the files back then.

Sorry for taking up your precious time and thanks again for your
replies.
I was at work when I was posting here and didn't have access to my
machine. As soon as I got the chance I did what you suggested.

Re: [slim] Announcing SqueezePad - the first dedicated iPad App to controll your SqueezeBoxen !

2018-01-30 Thread bluegaspode

But when you say "plug the drive into the laptop", then not LMS but some
other software is playing the file, right?

Google shows the following entry:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7121660/getting-parse-bytes-failed-err-optm-1869640813-in-audio-streaming-in-iphone-sd
It suggest that this is a playback problem from iOS, but the cause is an
invalid (or not optimized) stream (for whatever that means).

Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all
your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!

Re: [slim] Announcing SqueezePad - the first dedicated iPad App to controll your SqueezeBoxen !

2018-01-30 Thread nitram

What I meant was that SqueezePad is displaying an error message:

Playback Error
Audio playback failed
Parse bites failed. err: optm

You're suggesting that this message indicates that the LMS transcoder is
not recognizing the files, or the file format? As I mentioned in my
original post, the files play fine when the hard drive is connected to a
laptop. And both LMS and SqueezePad are able to display the tags and
other information about these files.

Yes, I describe how to add/change key mappings in 'this post'

Make sure you backup your pcp config before you reboot, or you'll loose

In LMS, you can drill down to track level to find a tracks location:

Re: [slim] downloading files from LMS

2018-01-30 Thread KeBul

Ok so I'll try one more time...

Have you used LMS to drill down to a working track and find the path
that LMS is using?

Likewise you could do the same for a non-working track and compare the
two paths to see the difference (or not).

To me this is crucial - if LMS can see the working files then you need
to find out where LMS is looking.

Re: [slim] downloading files from LMS

2018-01-30 Thread mherger

Did you try what d6jg suggested? Can you check where the valid file in
LMS is pointing, and where the broken item is pointing? Maybe you then
can figure out where to find the working files on your system.
