piCorePlayer is the base system, it includes player software by default. You have to install other packages to be a server. Here are the basic steps. 1. Use the standard version on pCP. 2. Burn the image, and then boot the system. 3. Press the Beta mode Tab at the bottom. 4. On the main page, Resize the filesystemlet the system reboot several times. 5. Goto the LMS tab, and install LMS. 6. Attach your USB disk. Then on the LMS mount the disk. 7. After it is mounted, ssh in and check that you can write to the disk as User tc. Fix rights per my previous message if you cannot write. 8. Install samba. And configure. Be sure you set the password to the samba share. 9. Start the LMS web interface, and configure your playlist and media folders. 10. Configure the squeezelite player on pCP. 11. Using LMS interface, select something to play. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
