Re: [slim] Unable to perform full rescan
The cache is 3.16 GB on an 6 GB RAM drive that I have been using for several years. Full rescans have worked well over the years until now. That's a large file, and the RAM drive probably not large enough. At some stages the temporary files created by the scanner can become as large as the main library. Could you try to increase the RAM disk's size, or put the cache back on your main drive? Or at least monitor disk usage while in the critical phase of the scan? -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

The cache is 3.16 GB on an 6 GB RAM drive that I have been using for several years. Full rescans have worked well over the years until now. However, I found a workaround. After the full scan stalled, I aborted it. I then ran a "new and changed media" scan which completed. Re: [slim] EAC question
Do you mean RIP a CD? Reading the CD and creating some type output file (MP3, FLAC, WAV, Etc) is a RIP. Burning a CD is taking files on your computer and writing them to a CD. Once you've RIP'd a CD, you can verify the tags using something like MP3Tag to ensure the tags meet your needs (Album name, Artist name, Album Artist name, Track name, Track number, etc). Once you've got your RIP where you want you need to copy it to the folder LMS expects your music to be in and then you need to do a scan of your music folder the files were put into. The scan can either be a "Scan for new and changed" or a "Clear library and rescan all. Re: [slim] AM / FM Radio + Squeezebox
For a modern solution best bet would be to find a RTL8232 based solution. Very cheap and available everywhere. https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=usb%20dvb-t%20dab%20fm=nc_PrefLoc=1&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 Just need to check that RTL8232 is in the device. The previous poster on this thread never followed through but if you are committed I can help. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82391 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

tanguy wrote: > Hello > someone have success to stream AM / FM to squeezecenter ? Yes with Griffin radioShark (plenty old ones on ebay) . If you want to be able to "tune" from an SB player - it will depend on the Radio interface device you choose (and the OS of your LMS). So except for Radioshark - there is no off the shelf solution. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82391 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
