I've been a user since I brought one of the original SliMP3s somewhere around 20 years ago, then moved to the Classic/SB3 and currently have a pair of Touches and a SB Radio. All are working just fine (though I have expanded with a pair of Raspberry Pi players with HiFiBerry HATs.)
While I certainly don't want the devices to break or Logitech to drop support for LMS, I sure can't complain if those things happen as I've gotten more than my money's worth from them. Interestingly, I'm currently in a Roon trial to see if their extra bells and whistles are worth the annual subscription fee. That service does support the Squeezebox and RPi players as well as other equipment. Not sure where my decision on that is going to land here in a few weeks, but the one thing I do know is that I won't be out of business no matter what the SB players or Logitech decide to do. Slimdevices was one of the most far-sighted and innovative products around, but, in the computer world, even the best stuff eventually gets passed. The nice thing is we aren't yet to that point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111525 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
