Logitech did say that while no new remotes will be made, that they will
keep the system going, including continuing to update the database.

Does it ever sound familiar!

Where Harmony really excels for us, is when we have things that don't
really talk to each other. For instance, we have a Harmony Hub control
TV, Bluray and a Mu-so. The Mu-so is connected to the TV for sound.
Because our TV doesn't communicate well over HDMI ARC, we have Harmony
control the
I also have two Harmony units, but continue to prefer the JP1 remotes,
the 8820 cited above was/is really the most perfect remote in the hand,
almost as good as the TIVO remotes. But 1000% more useful. The RCA
RCRP05BR and the Inteset 4 in 1 are also excellent. I even have a few

Exactly! My Harmony controls TV, AVR, satellite receiver, Squeezebox and
an HTPC running Kodi. Aboslutely seamless.
Extra comfort points for using RF between remote and
Another vote for the One-For-All remotes. I've never owned or used a
Harmony, so I don't know what I'm missing, but I have a couple of
One-For-All 8's which work very well. They have a learning function,
and the JP1 software allows me to backup/clone/restore a fully
configured remote very
Maybe a lone dissenting voice, but I never really got on with my Harmony
remote. After struggling to get it working in the way I wanted I ended
up buying some One-for-All (UIC) remotes which can be very flexibly
re-programmed / hacked using a home made addaptor and "JP1" software. To
be honest

Yes, at this moment nothing changes: it still works.

This is very, very bad news! All the multimedia systems of my family and
friends are controlled by these remote controls (Harmony 6xx).
The creation of "activities" is great and essential. This avoids having
to juggle multiple remote controls (TV, amplifier, multimedia player
...) and it
