Pretty sure piCorePlayer is compatible with all of the HiFiBerry
DAC/DIGI HATs. There was a thread here regarding some issues with the
newest, expensive board, though. Search if that's the one in which
you're interested.

Depending on the size of your library, I'd recommend at least an i3
otherwise library rebuilds will take forever. Note that Win 10 Home
does not have remote desktop server so you'd need to use a third-party
solution like VNC. Win 10 Pro is good to go out of

Or, have the server do the decode to PCM.

You might try setting ALBUMARTIST to "Various Artists".

I love it when a plan comes together. Be very thankful; you probably
got your hands on the only RPi 4 currently available anywhere!
As someone who's been running LMS for fifteen years on a tower PC in a
closet,
No Chromebook build that I know of. Do you have a Raspberry Pi? Or,
buy a refurb Windows PC on 'eBay'

All I can say is that I have LMS running 24/7 on a wired Windows server
and I have many wired and wireless Windows laptops and desktops running
Squeezelite as a service. None of these clients have any issue going to
sleep.
Are you saying server won't enter sleep mode if there is an active
player? Why would you want otherwise? Stop your players and see what
happens.
If you want your server to sleep regardless of player status, use an app
like TOff:
https://dennisbabkin.com/toff/
Maybe the PowerSave plugin will do what you want:

If you're willing, you might try disabling some of the "WIFI 6" features
of your router. There are threads here discussing specifics.
Or, switch to HomePlug.

It is, but could be modified to work on tags; e.g. replace "Format
value" with ARTIST or _ALL.

I agree, but the irony is that old Neil himself has in the past been
just as guilty of spreading scientific misinformation. The difference,
I guess, is that his "you only get 5%" myth didn't carry life or death
implications (except to those poor MP3 tracks.)
You can probably trace that here:

If this is the type of PS that has a physical switch, why not tape it
over? Or replace with "switchless" PS.
I recall that there is an option to start LMS with a "--no mysqueezebox"
switch. Might that do it?

Have you tried converting a few of the problem ALAC files to FLAC for
playback? If it solves the problem, that would be interesting.

Back when they were plentiful and cheap Raspberry Pi took over for this
purpose. Free piCorePlayer OS works perfectly.
No reason, though, that Android player can't still do the same.
According to the WiiM forum thread above, the latest Mini firmware has
enhanced its support of LMS. It's not clear whether they are still
relying on the "UPnP/DLNA bridge". Can a Mini owner test this? Thanks.
Daphile is running LMS 8.1 which, while not current, should not stop
your Squeezebox devices from connecting. Can you provide more
information such as which Squeezebox you are using and what exactly is
the error message you receive?

It's not $700 better than "Roon Lite": LMS + Material Skin + Music And
Artist Information.
