Also, be warned, adding Shoutcast feeds to your favorites will not work. It will play the Shoutcast feed from favorites for maybe one day. Then selecting the same feed from favorites will not play. That's a general issue with stations which change server address. I've been using some

I just downloaded Slim Server and the system preference file did not download along with it. The preference file is created when you start SS/SC for the first time. You should find it in a prefs sub folder of the program folder where you installed (assuming SS 6.5.x on Windows) or in

Thanks Michael. I found it and it said I can't open unless I assign a program to it. I have not been able to find one that works. Wordpad should be fine - it's a simple text file. If you want a decent text editor, get a copy of PSPad (http://www.pspad.com/). Michael

Thanks. Unfortunately, preferences is not a text file. I just want to set my preferences and I cannot get the file to open. Why would you want to edit that file manually anyway? Don't get me wrong, but I guess if you can't open that file, then you shouldn't touch it. You'll easily break

install itunes. Could this be the problem. I don't know how you managed to only see one of the two, but iTunes can definitely be the problem here. I guess iTunes only sees your MP3 files. Even if you didn't include the mp3 folder in SlimServer, it will read iTunes' library to find them.

Re: [slim] Music Library Problem

If you click the playlist name I think you should see a 'Delete' button and be able to rename the playlist. Then again, maybe it's not the same for iTunes imported playlists as it is for file based playlists. iTunes playlists can't neither be edited nor deleted. But they shouldn't show up
