I certainly don't want anything as power-hungry as mini-ITX, so it's
something like the NLSU2 or Linkstation for me - and currently we'd be
lucky to have the luxury of 64Mb to play with!

I can't play any Shoutcast stations from the server but I can from the

I've not researched this _at all_ and I'm sure I could find the answers
on Google within a few mins. But just wanted to get some opinions from
some audiophiles...

Recently I installed Slimserver 6.2 and I got an error message that
paused the installation saying that it could not replace SlimTray.exe.
I tried to delete it by hand but it seems to be protected for deletion
or so. It choose to skip this error and continue the installation. Does
this mean I am

slimserversql.db the database. Playlists are stored in the folder you
defined in the server settings of the web interface.

I'm curious about the state of playlist management generally in 7.0.
Adding songs to an existing saved playlist is fairly tedious in 6.5, at
least with Fishbone. I haven't experimented with 7.0 yet, but if playing

I just downloaded Slim Server and the system preference file did not
download along with it.
The preference file is created when you start SS/SC for the first time. You
should find it in a prefs sub folder of the program folder where you installed
(assuming SS 6.5.x on Windows) or in

I am using a brand new iMac w/Bootcamp partition. SS 6.5.x downloaded
on Vista.
Make sure you have 6.5.5, make Explorer display hidden and system folders. It's
in c:\programdata\all users\application data\squeezecenter or similar.

I don't know how you managed to only see one of the two, but iTunes can
definitely be the problem here. I guess iTunes only sees your MP3 files. Even
if you didn't include the mp3 folder in SlimServer, it will read iTunes'
library to find them.
If you click the playlist name I think you should see a 'Delete' button
and be able to rename the playlist. Then again, maybe it's not the same
for iTunes imported playlists as it is for file based playlists.
iTunes playlists can't neither be edited nor deleted. But they shouldn't show
up
