You do get wireless deives to send audio, but i've not seen any that
work over wireless networks, they are usually just RF or any old 2.4GHz
signal (like cordless phones).

Compaired to every other major release I've seen over the years, this
has been the least problematic.
Sure a few people have had minor problems, but not nearly the same as
when 6.5 was first released.
I would have to say this is the most stable a bug free initial release
ever.

Just to add more data to this, I can scan the library on my N5200 with
my Windows HTPC over gigabit (and no, it's not Cat6, which is not
_required_ for gigabit) is roughly the same amount of time as the
SqueezeCenter module on the N5200 itself.

What about using a seperate tagging application rather than relying on
the ripper?
I use TagRename simply because I like the interface. I have no idea if
it is Unicode or not though. I'd be surprised if one of the many *many*
tagging apps couldn't do it for you.

Officially FLAC only has 8 compression levels.
So I'm not really surprised you were having problems, WinAmp is

Yes the controller will mirror what youa are seeing in SqueezeCenter.
At the moment, there isn't a way to display artist artwork, but there
should still be an enhancement request for this. No idea if or when it
would be added, but it has been raised.

I take it you re-ripped the offending tracks after the change?
Sounds like WMP was applying DRM to your rips. Some versions of WMP do
this by default. There is no good reason for it, just a complete PITA
unless you know to turn it off.

I believe all the images are pre-scaled on the server and the correct

In a word, no.
The SB3 has the ability to act as a wired - wireless bridge, meaning
it can have an ethernet device connected to it and can share the
wireless connection with it, but there it no way for it to act as an
access point or repeater.

So although non-UK listeners using the RealAudio streams might not
benefit from the higher bitrates, they won't loose their radio stream
either.

The slimserver part of the TS-101 i think is added by Progressive
Computing who are the UK distributer. Odd that a standard version of
the 101 isnæt on the QNap site though. There is also going to be a
TS-401 with slimserver installed, this you can see on QNap.
