well, I ended up un-install then re-install SqueezeCenter 7.0 and now everything works. So maybe SqueezeCenter didn't like Lame installed AFTER it? [slim] How to use iTune as a slim player ?
Sorry about the double post but can't figure out how to change title of my last post (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46121) and now confirmed that this new title is more appropriate. Basically, if I tried to use iTune as a slim player accessing the SlimServer, I can't play any songs unless the song has already been MP3 encoded in my iTune library. My environment: OSX Leopard with iTune library SqueezeCenter in same iMac. Tried to play songs through iTune as a player thru same or different machine. [slim] Help: SqueezeCenter iTune = No sound
Hi, I'm running into a no sound situation with using iTune and SqueezeCenter and would appreciate some help. Here's the set up: a) SqueezeCenter 7.0 (current R7 release) b) iTune 7.x c) Both running my same iMac OS/X Leopard d) For testing purpose, I tried to use iTune and SoftSqueeze as the player Result: most of the songs will end up not playing or simply no sound. Songs that I tried to play were imported to iTune from my CD so there is no DRM. From SqueezeCenter web interface, I can see all songs in my iTune library. When I want to play whatever song, I select it and hit the play button. The song title then appears in the top status box of the interface. But most of the time (95% of the songs), there's no sound. ok, finally got SoftSqueeze to work... But, can I not used iTune as the player? The wiki documentations both say I can?
