Thanks again to Ralphy for his hard work on Squeezeslave and continued
guidance.

it.
There have been different reasons for the problem, but mine was a
permission issue. If thats the case with you, you could try running Sqs
from the 'startup applications' to see if it still steals the audio
device.

because of wifi drop or something else.
Squeezeslave log correct? I'll have to check mine as I've also had it
stop working several times. I just blamed the server when it happened
(7.6.2) Maybe there is more to it.

1) Check your wifi ap/router. In the worst case it will need about 180
KB/s bandwidth. Make sure the latency between your squeezeserver and
touchpad is low otherwise it will take a lot time to buffer.
2) Flac decoding is not CPU intensive which
Nicely done s7mx1. Works quite well.
What kind of cpu usage are you seeing with the file types you're
streaming?

Thanks Pippin.
I guess until then or until I get an app, I'll just have to keep any
loose and or large blunt objects out of the music queuing area.

,
Are you using kernel 2.6?
Do you know what audio modules are loaded?
What format/bitrate/sample rate are the files you're trying to play?
I know I bounced into this problem before during one experiment too
many, but I don't remember what caused it.

Hi MusicManiac,
Yes, Linux version is 2.6.32.25. Lsmod says:

My music files are mostly mp3s, 44.1 kHz and 320kbps, obviously not
DRMed.
I'm open to try any kind of IPK :D
Thanks for your help!
At a glance the modules look ok - Check your PM again
at -0:14 every time regardless of song length.
Before you go to any trouble let me try to get my build environment
going and move to r250. I'll let you know how that goes.
Thanks

be a 64bit binary in that package you downloaded. Give it
a shot and see if it works out any better.
If you have problems with that one I can send you a 64bit binary from
one of my systems to try.

Are you in the same directory as the binary when you run
./squeezeslave-lnx26-ubuntu ?
Is the binary marked as executable?

mess things up? In anycase, seems like its not really a problem with
Squeezeslave so that's good.

just noticed, the windows version chokes on flac
files. Linux is fine. I tested the win version on two separate machines
that otherwise play flac flawlessly via WMP/WAMP and Squeezeplay.
