have been thorough enough in removing the remnants of older versions.

I appear to have a working SC 7.2 - thanks for the suggestion. I found
the instructions for a clean install in a past forum post and realized
I had missed a step, did that just now and aside from having to rescan
my library (45,000 or so songs) I am back in business.

i guess I'll look for some rubbermaid or similar containers that are
the right size -- I just wondered if anyone had found a solution that
was designed for CDs. they're already in sleeves, so I don't have to
worry about 2000+ jewel cases that I got rid of long ago.
