I thought the long timeout was being caused by my ageing machine ! I hadn't thought of switching the players to another server :)I have the server power control plugin installed, I'll experiment and see what I can do. [slim] Server refresh, creates a question...
Hi All, I recently refreshed by LMS server from an ageing Dell GX620 to a 790 fitted with an SSD, running Windows 10 Home. After remembering all the tweaks and plugins all is running great. However I have the system set to sleep and WOL to bring it back from sleep, which works fine and the resume time is virtually instant. However the Squeezebox Classic 3 displays the 'Can't connect to server left to try again' message which stays for displayed for some time. Can this be removed or its timeout shortened ? Probably an odd question Any help / comments appreciated ! [slim] Can a SB3 play streamed ogg-flac ?
I see here http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/listen/on-other-devices.html that absolute radio are trialing a lossless stream using ogg-flac tech. Will this work on the SB3 ? sorry if its a stupid question ! I can confirm the same issue on the Transformer Prime table :-( and a lot of people leaving bad feedback on sites that cannot get it to work under ICS. All valid comments. However I guess its personal choice, my personal favorite is still the Logitech Squeezebox controller. In the meantime I am happy to use the web interface from my tab. It's quite annoying, as I use the SB3 in my bedroom, and the message display is really bright, with no way to turn it off (at least when there was a problem in the past, the screen would blank, and the box would be responsive to right-arrow to try again or left-arrow to go back). Phil I am seeing exactly the same. SB3 in kitchen and bedroom and sits saying cant connect to server ?
