Thanks James. The more I think about this the more I think it's going
to be a case of sitting and redoing it manually to make sure I get the
flac's.

tell Slim to use Itunes, I expect it'll grab the mp3's which I don't
want.
Any nifty ways of doing that ?

I'm just home. The server is hung again (I was streaming earlier).
WMP is v10. Does that do anything to the 9000 port ?
I'd like to solve this without having to explain to the wife how to
reboot the service.
Is there anything else I should be investigating ?
TIA

WMP is on the server machine, however, it's not an active application.
I'm pretty sure it isn't WMP11 but will check when I get home in a
couple of days.
I'm not sure about WMP having a server capability. Would it be worth
giving SS port 9001 instead - just in case?

I just export everything from mp3tag into MS Excel. From there a quick
pivot table or two can list whatever you want, by CD, artist, etc.
All other apps I've tried seem to be just frontends to achieve the same
but without the absolute flexibility of XL.

Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks for that link. I'd done some searching before for such a tool

F5 refreshes it. However, why would it not refresh automatically ? Is
that a server setting ? Or is it a remnent of the previous issue ?
