Hi
I'm sure that, when using the + button on the Boom, the selected item
(song, album etc.) would be added to current playlist.
This was a great way of bulding up a nice playlist.
However, now it seems to add to now playing so everytime you
select something press + it gets inserted
a short press on the + would bring up the context menu where you can
choose
Add to end
Play next
Play
Save to favorites
Or, does it not work that way for you ?
This should work on both track and album level.

Where one is supposed to be able to
Add button behaviour varies depending on which bit of hardware you're
using (and yes, there have been lengthy discussions about this, but it's
a done decision).
I suspect press and hold ADD may work for you on the Boom for add to
end of playlist. It's worked like this for a while for me.

On my Boom - press + adds as next in playlist but press and hold + adds
to end of playlist. That's been the behaviour for a while as far as I am

Is this with local files in your library or using something like
Rhapsody or Napster? I get different behaviour with Napster for example
(and understand this is as result of a combination of bugs).
Also, do you have any third party plugins installed? Some of
