Nikos, I'm referring to wood floor and walls. The server is on the main floor and the SB2 is in the basement.about 15m distance.Concrete will likely be more difficult. These SMC's are actually directional, not omni as I said earlier. The model is SMCHMANT-6..they are like a square disc shape,

@Mark You're right. One of life's mysteries. Nah this is pure science.. :) The question is what scentific ground this behaviour is based on. Maybe Shawn can share some thoughts on this , regarding how the SB uses the signal received on its antennas and how it prioritizes its results.. No but

Hmm..another happy victim ;) Thanks for your feedback Mark. Yes I know that the is a sec internal antenna but my question is why would this internal get a better signal..makes *no* sense.. Also does anyone know whether the SB2 deploys diversity antennas? Nikos PS:Mark do you have a wireless

Hi Khuli, yes the location does not affect the different behaviour between the two antennas. The old one gets always a better signal than the new one.. Do you have a similar setup that you can test? (SB1 wireless..SB2 wirless..switch antennas) Does anyone who has the above setup care to make a

Come on, doesn t anybody have an idea of why such behaviour should occur?? I mean we are talking about 10% better signal (comparing the two scenarios, not a 10% absolute increase). I'm sure this should be interesting enough for everybdy using wireless. Nikos -- _NK_

Mine don't do that. Do your CUE sheets reference the FLAC files, or the original WAVs from which the FLACs were created? I forgot to update my first CUEs after compressing, and I believe it caused a very similar problem. -- Malor ___ Discuss
