I created a Scheduled Task using https://nmap.org/ncat/
"ncat localhost 9090 < wipecache.txt", where "wipecache.txt" holds the
commands:
wipecache
exit

How about extending the capability of the LMS Alarm so that it becomes a
baby "cron".
This indeed was an idea we played with some... 10+ years ago :-). I
think this could be an interesting plugin.

Wouldn't a scheduled "scanner.exe" do the job?
Or this, yes. It just needs a little more work to figure out all the
necessary parameters.

There's always the CLI you can use to trigger scans from an external
script :-). But other than that I guess yes, it's a no.

It's what I do too, I'm frequently editing tags as and when I notice

Would it be possible te change the schedule of the "Rescan Music
Library" plugin somehow, so it doesn't rescan on weekends? A "weekdays
only" schedule, so to speak? Or to choose on which days to schedule the
rescan? Or to choose another period, like "once a week" or "once a
month"?
