I don't think so.
You can cycle through the available Now
Playing choices by pressing the NOW PLAYING key.
If elapsed time is shown, the progress bar is
shown. Several do not have the progress bar, but
also don't have elapsed time.

Pressing now playing shows a progress bar with every elapsed time option.
I've got elapsed time on the player settings (default interface SlimServer
Version: 6.5b1 - 6019 - Linux, sb2)
