This is my 0.02$ contribution for building Gnuradio on Debian Lenny.
Install of Gnuradio was ok on Debian Lenny PPC.
These instructions (see attached text) should also work on Intel systems.

then if you are on osx,
in ./bootstrap,
replace litoolize by glibtoolize (add a g before)

-maybe a minimal version- in order to get working the usrp (or a minimal
harware) with it?Maybe a custom usrp hardware?Changing the dock for example.
