I am unable to replicate with gcc 4.8.4 which is stable in gentoo. What
version of gcc are you using?

I know I'm super late to the party on this thread, but gentoo does have
working ebuilds which are up to date. You could just install from the
package manager.

https://bugs.gentoo.org with "emerge --info" as well as the full
build.log for gnuradio (you will probably need to xz compress it)

Sadly Dream appears to be an "open source" implementation of a protocol
that is licensed and has no rights allowing for a decoder. While you
may choose to use it, sadly, distributing it on a livecd would be very
unintelligent as it would make the distributor legally liable for
breaching the licens
