using GSScaleFactor != 1. The
contents of the window appeared to be drawing at an origin that wasn't
within the bounds of the window.
I was never sure if this was a bug in Emacs or GNUstep.
Unfortunately I can't convince GNUstep Emacs to build on my machine
at the moment...

getting corrupted. I suppose I should try and work out how to open the
window in floating mode from the start.
Alternatively perhaps I should install another window manager and try
debugging on that for a while... :)

parent remains, is that normal or is something broken?
