I cleaned up my patch and commited it. It works now very well for me, in
a classic "mount/unount" environment.
Still the mount points need to be indicated so that the checks perform
correctly, /etc/mtab is not sufficient.
It would be nice to improve that situation

This is probably a GWorkspace bug, could be fixed.
