Tried to stream some music just now with my Boom or squeezeplay, from
either Last.fm, BBCIplayer or Napster and none of them will connect.
Everything seems to be working ok, apart from the plugins tab in
SBserver, which comes up with the message 'Couldn't resolve IP address

This has most likely been asked before but this forum is pretty big...
I have a 2TB Buffalo LinkStation Pro which i am transferring all my
music onto - this is connected directly to my router and wakes on LAN
should I switch on either of the pc's in the house.
What I want is a media streamer
You need to have Squeezebox Server running on the Linkstation (which it
may be good at doing, or not, or anything in between).
Check out the forum section for third party hardware for information
about this kind of setup, I expect there to be some threads about your
model of NAS.

Are you running SBS on a NAS? Try stopping restarting SBS server on
the NAS.
Also verify your MySB credentials on SBS Settings MySqueezeBox.com
Also try SBS Control Panel Diagnostics, what is reported for ALL
ports, pings, IP's?

Sorry should have added more info.
Running SBS on my Win7 x64 desktop, and have stopped and restarted the
server, no success. In the diagnostics all is reported as ok. Trying to
stream all 3 sources I use results in 'Couldn't resolve IP address

I'm convinced that there is no way to make it work between Windows and a
NAS. Drive letters and UNC paths just confuse anything non-Windows (the
NAS in this case). You would need to have the iTunes XML file be run
through something to change the path, or maybe have an option added to
SBS to
Cheers - I'll go and have or look - or most likely re-post if searching
doesn't flag anything.

Radionomy is indeed a very nice addition to the MySB Apps, all 128k,
wide selection.
My one suggestion would be to further segregate the genre's via
sub-menu's.
Example: Radionomy Hits = 240 stations, the names of the stations
are not always obvious to their genre

Thanks for your suggestion, The Radionomy app has now improved menu
navigation by including subcategories (eg pop-rock, britpop..). This
will give you easier access to your favorite stations !
Very nice, working great. :)
Next idea: station art displayed on the SB
I have rebooted everything. Still the same old message Can't connect to
server...
This is a first. I have never had problems with the SB3s before.

I have tried to search on this issue but am still lost.
I have SB3 and using the latest SqueezeboxServer version. My music

I have an odd problem with SqueezePlay not connecting to my library.
I'm running Squeezebox Server 7.5.3 on CentOS 5.2 installed a week ago
from a fresh download, and SqueezePlay on Win 7 64bit from the 7.5.3
nightly build around the same time.
I also have a SB Touch which works perfectly with
Isn't Apple now currently licensing AirPlay to all kinds of hardware
manufacturers? I know this is a change from a few years ago.
It would be great to have AirPlay on my SBB!!!

I have a Squeezebox 3 (classic), but when I attempt to open Softsqueeze
it says Connection failed. Please check server settings.
It has been working until recently, and even when re-installed offers
the same response.
Can someone help me to re-activate Softsqueeze, please?

A USB cable? Are you kidding? Have you completely misunderstood the
point of AirPlay?! ;-) By that argument, there is no need for AirPlay
at all - just use a dock.
Note also that one can AirPlay things from my ipod other than just
music synced from iTunes. Several

I just bought your app,and aside from some initial syncing issues (very
large library) all seems well. I already own and use ipeng, but wanted

I would love to have AirPlay on SBS even if I hate iTunes.
It would be a perfect way for my wife and kids (and guests) to play
their lossy crap files (music) on the SB.
Don't want them to mess with my perfect database and my perfect
flac library. ;)
