I have hit a compromise , I WOL from completely shut off , booting my HP
microserver , but then it does not sleep .
So I just boot it when I get home from work , touching any of my players
then let my server run during the evening and then turns it off when I

will play to the audio device and video of the host system not give
access to decoded stream. You do not want that in LMS - you want to
redirect decoded stream into LMS - so you have to use using ffmpeg not

Just to confirm - my Windows LMS runs 24/7 and I still get a timeout on
the first connection of the day (or when it's been idle for a few hours
and the HDD has gone into sleep mode). So presumably the timeouts are
happening while waiting for the HDD to spin up.

A follow-up question - the file system browser only shows drives up to
L: (the server has X: and Y: drives mapped to network shares which I
want to access). Is this a bug, or maybe something that I'm doing wrong?

first setting is enabled? This would pretty much kill the App's
capability to play as it wants to and should be fixed on the server
side, this would probably affect other Apps like SqueezeCommander,
iPeng, SqueezePad,... as well.

I have to admit, I'm no longer interested in this project. Perhaps
someone will pick up the slack and produce a Squeezebox replacement in a
timely manner. And with a little less drama.

Well I finally broke down and got a VB and got rid of that pos readynas
duo. No more issues! I can now use triodes spotify app, no buffering
during high Rez files. So far so good.

I have a squeeze box connected to an inexpensive Onkyo receiver. Just
recently installed the Inguz EQ, but it does not do anything. I can
change the EQ settings, but it has no affect on the sound. Tried with
headphones, and then through 5.1 playback, and nothing.
