I've been using SqueezePlay to remotely connect to my LMS server.
Recently, he Connecting to glowing circle has been flashing
frequently. No buffering or interruption to the music, but flashing.
Where do I look first to troubleshoot this? Thanks! If this has been
discussed before (I read
I'm not very familiar with the logs, so I was wondering if there is a
thread here (I couldn't find it with a search) that explains how to
search the logs to determine when LMS has ben used, particularly from
outside of my network. I have enabled port forwarding so that I can
access my library

Don't you have password enabled ?
Do you mean password protected on the squeezebox? Then the answer is
no. The router is password protected.
I did have it password protected at one them, but not now. I don't have
the squeezebox password protected because it required me to

Sounds like what you really want is the Block Incoming Connections
setting in Advanced/Security. Set it to block and set allowed

Yes, that is how I have it set for now, but I was wondering if ther eis
another way around the password issue.

Not as far as I know - I would really look into a VPN connection when
you travel, if your router supports it.
Thanks. Actually, VPN was next on my agenda.

I need to brush up on my SQL.
What would be an example of listing the albumname, the sort album name ,
album artist and sort album artist from the albums (?) table?
I would be using the database query function in LMS, I don't have any
other SQL loaded on this PC right now.
Thanks!

I would suggest that you buy an external drive and copy all of your
music over to it as soon as possible. You can then change LMS to point
to your external drive.
If you are having problems booting up, you don't want to wait for the
day that it won't boot up!
I would strongly suggest you get

That's one, but I just checked my kindle and it's called Squeeze
Commander. On the kindle I also have Orange Squeeze loaded and clicking
on the first song presents an option to play this song or play all

I does not work for me using Orange Squeeze on my android. The setting

Squeezelite on piCoreplayer.
I do not have Don't Stop the Music enabled.
I haven't checked in a while, but I think that it works on the other

Has there been any statement regarding whether the iPod software will be
updated to be able to play FLACs? I still use my 8 year old iPod
Classic iPod in my car.

won't upgrade to Mojave) yesterday and loaded the new
SqueezePlay-x86_64-7.8.0r1101 and Squeezeplay is working fine! Thanks!

Great info there. It's a well written primer that explains audiophile
topics plain enough for others to understand without talking down or
being to overly fanboy radical. But as noted, things haven't gotten
better.
+1 for the read only archive.

Where is 'internal queries' displayed on pi-hole? I don't see it, or
any mention of my piCorePlayer when I log in as admin to pi-hole.
Unless I am not drilling down properly?

I don't know if anyone ever clicks on the "Logitech Squeezebox" text in
the upper left corner of the main forum page (I just did accidently)
but it is an old dead link!

Not a big deal, just an observation!
