Re: [slim] Help to fix a broken SB3

2019-09-09 Thread jac68

Thank you,

I have found this web page, checked the power supply, and done the
resets (without the screen)

https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/2018/11/logitech-slimdevices-squeezebox-classic.html

It gets warm, but IP does not show on scanner.

Then I have read this other post (
https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/2016/09/logitech-slimdevices-squeezebox-classic.html
) about display replacement, and MartinK's comment: “plugging and
unplugging would sporadically bring back the display, but only only if
the SB was warm.”

It has worked for one of the SBs.

(Next step, should be to change the capacitors.)

[slim] Help to fix a broken SB3

2019-09-09 Thread jac68

Hi,

I have 2 classic SqueexeBox 3. Both broken. I power them and nothing
is shown on it's display. I only can see the red light of the tosslink
connector.

I think they are broken because I plugged them to a power supply with
polarity changed.

I have been browsing this forum to find out if anyone had a similar
problem, with no luck. I would like to revive at least one unit, and
would be glad if someone would guide me to an apropriate post.

Thank you,
