Lets not start a war here - I used Linux, am using now Apple, and (long) time ago Windows (Windows 2000 mainly). I can’t say that any one is safer with your data than others. > > > > ElBarto23's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70700 > View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112938 > > ___ > discuss mailing list > discuss@lists.slimdevices.com > http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] My New Hobby
This scares me. I’m an all Apple house and was thinking about replacing my ten year old Mac mini which hosts my LMS and local music files. Should I hold off? You can always build a system now and keep off from updating once macOS has been crippled enough. Big Sur should still be good (at least the latest pre-production builds). -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I hate changing anything, since Ive been trouble free with my current setup for many years, but want to retire my Mini before it finally gives out on me...its already starting to be slow to respond. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Im down to one SB Touch. Mac Mini as a server (OS X Yosemite). iPeng is my controller of choice. LMS 7.9.0. Erlands plug ins are what keep me in the ecosystem.
