just wanted to know if there were any plans to implement an smtp proxy package 
that could do spam filtering and email greylisting/blacklisting. act as a 
tarpit etc.

also possibly clamav as well?

could you not install these from freebsd ports?

no, FreeBSD ports/packages do not work with pfSense, you need to configure
each package to the system
