I've got the same problems. I've been looking at FWBUILDER for the
management part (http://www.fwbuilder.org). Unfortunately, it seems that
pfSense is not supported. If you come across any specific monitoring
tool I would be happy to know about it! I haven't started on that aspect
yet,
