Another small update - just to keep data correct: I have just learned that my position is defined as "referant" (the term "referant" should replace "member" several places in my original post). SII is the entity defined as an "O" member (which makes much more sense to me, and corresponds better to the documents I've been reading).
To avoid looking too stupid, let me add that I had no way to figure out the right terms from previous communications, or any documents I got.
