Obviously, many of us still find it interesting to discuss it. If we just tag our messages clearly (like I just did in the subject), the rest of us can filter them out and not be bothered. ___ Discussions mailing list Discussions@hamakor.org.il http://hamakor.org.il/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discussions

The problem we pointed -- which he continues to reject or ignore -- is that by our understanding of his ideology, boycotts should not be tolerated by it. There are two explanations for this: 1) He is hypocritical 2) His understanding of the ideology is different Out of "don't attribute malice to what can be explained by incompetence", I favor the second; but so far, he has failed to explain his position in a way we can accept. And by reports here, it is not just us who understand freedom this way. Shai. ___ Discussions mailing list Discussions@hamakor.org.il http://hamakor.org.il/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discussions

Well that sounds a lot worse, you are saying that this is not his idiology but he is willing to sell his idiology for the highest bid... Guess who is not going to show up in his talks? Hi All, Please see Stallmans' answer to my discussion with him about his anti Jewish discrimination. I think that Hamakor should call its member not to attend any of his lectures. Oded -- Dr. Oded S. Resnik RAZ Information Systems LTD http://www.raz.co.il/ הודעה מקורית - נושא: Re: You visit to Israel מאת: "Richard Stallman" תאריך: שלישי, 12 יולי, 2011 pm 10:06 אל: r...@raz.co.il -- I insisted on arranging talks in Israel specifically so as not to discriminate against Israelis, or against Jews. I believe that Palestinians deserve an end to the occupation. I do not believe they want to kick the Jews our of Israel. If they did, I would not support any attempt to do that. But that is pure imagination. A real act of ethnic cleansing is underway, through the extension of Israel's colonies in Palestinian territory. We should not let a hypothetical future crime distract us from a real present crime. -- Dr Richard Stallman President, Free Software Foundation 51 Franklin St Boston MA 02110 USA www.fsf.org www.gnu.org Skype: No way! Just to be clear - Stallman is following the boycott because of the Palestinian hosts. Not because he thinks its a right thing to do. Message attached. --- Begin Message --- The e-mailes you sent to Ira Abramov said you don't support the boycott. That is true. I do not advocate the broad boycott of Israeli institutions. My Palestinian hosts who invited me to the region support the boycott. Out of respect for them, I decided to follow their boycott for this trip. http://stallman.org/articles/palestine-trip.html.explains more. -- Dr Richard Stallman President, Free Software Foundation 51 Franklin St Boston MA 02110 USA www.fsf.org www.gnu.org Skype: No way!
