But in general, just add this to your ~/.profile (just create it if
you don't have it)
export PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH
export MANPATH=/opt/local/man:$MANPATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I just installed MacPorts as instructed with X11 and XCode 3.0 on OSX
version 10.5.2 MacBook and I'm not finding the usual .bash_profile
or .profile and therefore get this error.
