Minor correction: I should point out that Linus was mad at Kay Sievers for breaking udev, and then blaming the kernel's firmware loader. The breakage didn't have anything to do with kdbus, as far as I know (which is what I was trying to clarify in the first place--Linus and Kay weren't fighting
