Thanks for the input! My target machine is an anchient feature phone
that supports mp3 and AAC only. Its limited storage space combined with
a speaker that does not make high bitrates justice tells me that AAC is
the best choise of codec in this case.

Thanks! It seems I will have to look at going down that route after all.

What package do I need to install in order to make AAC available? Should
I perhaps be using some other software instead of Soundconverter?
Thanks!

Apart from this all I seem to be able to find on the net is alot about setting
up X for synaptics.
As I am unsure how to proceed I would appreciate any guidance!
Good looking and well built website!
I think that the contents of the menu and the footer should be kept inside the
center column.

psmouse.ko did the trick. I am not sure wether the kernel upgrade made any
difference and I am not very inclined to downgrade atm. :)
All the best!

Did not help. Still no /dev/sdb which happens when I insert an ordinary usb
drive.

I doubt that my hardware is too new. It is a Dell Latitude E6410 that I bought
second hand a couple of years ago. :)
How would I go about upgrading to a backported kernel? Is there a repo
somewhere I can use or do I need to build it myself?

The shellshock incident wasn't a big incident for me. Prompt patching
can save your day many times over. Thank God bash is supported by the

it is the same functionality missing in both cases. Do any of you guys
know what functionality this is and if there is a way to make it
available in Iceweasel or Chromium on Devuan?
Hope it's not some proprietary crap!

This is a gem! I don't know how many times I have accidentally brushed at the
touchpad while typing and moved the cursor to somewhere it shouldn't be or
deleted text. Maybe one could write a daemon that disables the touchpad n
seconds after the any-key has been pressed... :)
